This post is specially for my special friend and angel, AMY, whom I got to know recently and is in palliative care. She has such a big heart and is such an angel that sometimes I feel so inadequate compared to her.

What I am sharing here is a sms from her :

Dear Ade, thank u so much for standing by me. You have taught me to be resilient in trauma. I am bouncing back. Dare to forgive and foregoing hurts and revenge will only make us stronger. I will focus on the simple and plain values of life and grow in patience to overcome many life challenges. Happiness is after all the by produce of giving ourselves to others for good in love. In struggles I discovered true happiness from you and Margaret and many around me. Like to leave you with this thought - the only thing you keep in this world are the things you give away. This thought shows us that each day we see opportunity to enrich the lives of others, better our communities and brighten another person's day. You did that for me and I am smiling again.

Amy, you are really beautiful within and without. You will understand what I mean if you are reading this. Thanks for enriching my life.

Calligraphy session, Chinese New Year 2006 at Raffles MRT (I think), this was when Keng Hong (my secondary school classmate which I have not seen for more than 20 years turned up and asked for my calligraphy). I did not participate in the 2007 and 2008 sessions. My calligraphy appeared in this year's Chinese newspaper though. Maybe I should participate in next year's session.

Exhibition at Singapore Poly 2006. Xiang (my chinese name)

Chinese New Year 2005 at my place. It has been a while since the 6 of us manage to get together.
Hopefully can download more pictures tomorrow, maybe those at Vincent's office.

More pictures : These are the ones which I mentioned, the strokes are not strong. Hope to post some of the recent works I wrote for comparision.

I have a similar picture taking pride at MIL's sitting room.

Now for the pictures :
Yea, Moon Fragrance is finally up. I have been bugging the girls to help me create a blog for me to showcase my calligraphy but never really got down to doing it.

Moon Fragrance is a direct translation of my Chinese name.

I was going through the calligraphy I did way back in 2005 (I started with Chinese brush painting, then switched to calligraphy in 2004), I realised that they lack strength, neverthless, I am going to post them here. These plus my recent works and the some of the paintings I did before switching to calligraphy.
