Vinn Wong coloured my hair one shade darker as he remembered Jer commenting the previous colour was too "ah lian".

I could shave my head and he would not even notice.
My brother was featured in yesterday's Business Times' Banking and Finance 2008 supplement. He was mentioned in today's Straits Times (fewer expats expected to fill top posts in 5 years). Ma was mighty proud when I told her this morning. If only Pa was still around, he would probably be walking around with a swagger. Somehow it seems like it was just yesterday when I was running around in Tuas with both brothers, being the only girl, I joined them in all their boyish games, climbing trees, catching spiders, fishing and playing around in the rivers when Ma would be out working, even though she specifically told us not to go near the rivers and swamps. She was right about not playing in the rivers as Ti was almost drown. I remembered Qiang throwing stones at a bee hive and Ti got stung real bad as he was too young to run. Plus the termites infested attap house collapsing on us one early thunderstorm morning. Ma had to pull me out of bed, but she couldn't get to the two boys in time, and they had the sense to duck under the bed for cover.

Affairs of the heart cannot be explained?

Min did very well for her CT and as usual her teachers were full of praises for her. Her chem teacher said she is intelligent, hardworking, has good attitude, good manners and good values. Her gp teacher said she has a sharp brain.

Jer did well for her mid year too, although her GPA was below her expectations. Her expectations are very high which is good as she will push herself to greater heights. But she caught a very potent flu bug and was home bound for the past week.

I have started booking tickets for Qi's St Andrew trip in September. There is no direct flight to Edinburgh and we have to stop over at London. Am toying with the idea of flying via Manchester instead of London to avoid the luggage getting lost at Heathrow airport. We only have 4 months to prepare for her departure and there are so much to be done. Drove her to NTU last Wednesday with mixed feelings. She is very happy and relaxed now, learning French, German, Spanish and just registered for Japanese. I was supposed to learn Japanese with her but timing clashes with the Turkey trip. She hopes to continue with her French at St Andrew and has more or less made up her mind to double in philosophy and economics instead of philosophy and history.

Vincent somehow is very worried about her going away. I guess he has to learn how to let go, she is 19.
