When I picked Jer from school this afternoon, the first thing she told me was "I am not sure if I should be happy or sad."
She was happy because she had 39 out of 40 for her maths but she was sad because she missed perfect score by 1 mark.
Jer you should be happy, you did very well.

Min did extremely well for her term III CT! She is on the Dean's list again for Econs (95 percentile). Her civics tutor wrote in her progress report that she is very motivated and conscientious. I am so proud of her, well done Min!
She said something the other night that really warmed my heart. "I am so lucky to have such a supportive mother!"
Well, I AM lucky to have 3 beautiful and intelligent daughters who are very close to me. Although I always whine about not having a son to protect me and help me carry groceries, I am very fortunate to have Qi, Min and Jer. All 3 of them are always full of big hugs and kisses. Qi at almost "no longer 19" asks for big hugs many many times each day. Min and Jer too, and I enjoy being close to them. They will tell me almost everything. Vincent always says I spoil them, but I do enjoy spoiling them.
I better stop eating durians, Qi said I have a "food baby". I polished off 6 seeds in record time this afternoon.
We got Qi's visa done, now is shopping time. The vainpot wants to lose 10 lbs before shopping, so I am still waiting for her to be ready, (I have been waiting for a long time, but she said it is my fault because we always have nice food and durians at home.) Apart from one meal, she ate nothing else but durians the day before. She should be the one having a durian baby.
I am off to the gym now and get rid of my food baby.

Lao Shi asked me to hold a solo exhibition for my calligraphy and art at SICC! It will be a month long exhibition at the Lifestyle Centre and all the pieces will be for sale.

I have to start preparing for the event which is slated for November to December. I have yet to finalise all the details, but I am really really excited and nervous. It is a dream come true if I go ahead with the exhibition. My other dream is to compile my works into a book.

Min's 18th birthday.

Kelly showed me this fantastic website for bags : http://www.purseblog.com/.
Vincent just came back from Kuwait, really tired and grouchy and grumpy. This was his 5th trip to Kuwait this year, if I remember correctly. I shouldn't complain though, he always buys me the full range Chanel Coco Mademoiselle body care and perfume from Dubai airport, since its much cheaper over there. Plus, they have the entire range. They even have a hair mist(!!!)

How does it feel to know that one is dying?
Can one be mentally prepared for death? Can his loved ones be mentally prepared for his leaving this world?
Which is better - to die suddenly or to have a terminal illness and to know that he will die soon?

Peter has created a prototype website : asiacalligraphy.com. It is still under construction and will eventually showcase our calligraphy and we are in business.
I am toying with the idea of picking up painting again. Lao Shi has two classes at SICC, monday mornings and wednesday afternoons. I'm considering painting with acrylic on canvas, instead of chinese ink on rice paper. I think it'll be good to try painting on a different medium.

I know Ma walks and does sit ups (yes, she can manage up to 20 sit-ups at one go) everyday, but I am truly surprised that she has been playing with the monkey bar!!!! She loves hanging on the monkey bar and let her entire body stretch, and gives herself a few swings. She always feels great after her swings and at 70 she looks great, very lean and trim and most importantly very healthy and independent. Best of all, she does not have a single strand of white hair!

I tried cornering at high speed with little fellow yesterday and it was really thrilling. I tried it again today and it was really fun.

Jer nagged at me for going to the gym yesterday. "Mummy, I know you are fit, but you are not young (ouch!), and old (ouch!) ligament takes a long time to heal" Seems that there is a reversal of roles here, both Qi and Jer nagging at me!
